New page

Electronics Engineer with 40 years experience. Long time LTspice user.

I would like to post a correction to the page https://ltwiki.org/index.php?title=The_Arbitrary_Inductor_model

The equation for the control of sharpness has a error for even values of parameter a, like a = 2. For negative currents, raising x to the even power produces a positive result which produces a positive flux. The correct equation shown below corrects the sign of the flux for negative currents.

flux={L*Is}*sgn(x)*tanh((abs(x)/{Is})**{a})**{1/a}
